Introduction
Welcome to Red Gallery. This will be a weblog collection of notable works in literature, photography, music, video, graphic imagery, and various other types of online media. The goal of the collection is to present the casual web browser with striking examples of new creative works by notable artists, writers, composers, and designers, with the additional social goal of drawing further attention to a larger body of significant creative work presented elsewhere by these individuals.
Brian Van Nieuwenhoven, the publisher of 485i.com as well as an ubiquitous online community participant since 1994, will assume curating duties for the collection. Unsolicited submissions will be accepted and reviewed starting immediately. Additionally, Mr. Van Nieuwenhoven plans to serve as a producer on upcoming projects to create work specifically to be featured on Red Gallery.
