from metafilter: Perpetual Ocean Digital Image Gallery (apparently these are all made from computer algorithms, and have no physiological or sexual meaning except in your dirty, dirty mind)...
Instead of "vintage" or "bizarre", we're just going with "bad" this time.

(yeesh.)
Oh, and here's the absolute worst of all time, NSFW.
From Consumerist, a bizarre and hysterical Folgers commercial. One comment: "seems like a skit from Kids in the Hall."
And more dog picture goodness at http://www.cafegolden.com/titleshot.htm. (via Metafilter)
Eric Myer put together this fascinating page where you can select different halves of headshots to be paired with each other. The images are so tonally similar that often you can't tell that you've matched portions of headshots from people of different races. (and sometimes... well, you can.)
Design Observer pointed our attention to a selection of cover graphics for the CIA World Factbook from current and past years' editions.
Fact #1, of course, is that the CIA publishes fugly-looking books. Our selection for worst:
I forget exactly what I was looking for on the Internet that had me stumble into this site, but I was mightly surprised to find it when I did.
The concept:
We believe going for a coffee is a great way to meet somebody new. Just meet up at lunchtime, early evening or weekends and see if you get on over a cappuccino, latte or tea! Coffee Date allows you to view profiles of people in your area and make contact. It will even suggest good coffee houses that are near to the both of you.
They seem to have the execution down, too. So why don't we have this in NYC yet?
Serial Cut - Sex, Paper and Imagination : Selected Illustrations from 2003 to 2005
Sex through graphic design, but without the porn.
Awesome interview with graphic designer James Victore.
Interviewer: Do you ever have the feeling that your last great idea could have been your last great idea?
JV: You're a pussy.
(please also visit his website. I want one of those plates for my birthday, in July)
PSFK points us to a Ceasar Pelli creation that's just too close to this blog's heart for us to pass up.
via Spencer The Boy Wonder, a (fictitious, staged) talk-show clip in which the pain of the guest becomes too overwhelming for the host to take.
Perfect for your horse-hating friends...
John Kricfalusi, the utterly insane creator of Ren & Stimpy, has a blog that discusses - and pretty much teaches - the art of animation. Fascinating stuff. And somewhat not safe for work. (via boingboing)
Also has a collection of various personal achievements and recommendations. Don't miss the intro to Troop Beverly Hills, the Ren & Stimpy clips, and the (obviously NSFW) pussies+tits+boners.
As you may know, this is a user-supported site. And all I need to keep this train going is submissions of significant, notable, or otherwise completely bizarre creative content. Sure, if you don't sumbit anything, I'll just have to go out and find it all myself. But I'm not very good at this yet, and with your help I'll get better at it.
Content submissions (and don't be afraid to send something of your own work) can include photos, videos, literary compositions, graphic design, music, audio clips, podcasts, any kind of notable web media representing fresh ideas, fine art works, fashion, advertisements, flashy things, and of course, in the spirit of everything that the great Internet represents, porn. And don't forget artistic photos of dead bodies, which seem to be an early theme around here.
Send your shizz to redgallery AT 485i.com. You'll get a name/linkback credit for each posted submission. Thanks!

(disclaimer: these are acquaintances of mine. But they're funny, I swear!)
Also, Michelle Collins and Adira Amram will be there. Need any more of a reason to attend?
It's up to you how to process this information. Seriously, I don't know whether to run or if I should pray to it. (via flickr)
Bonus: if this faintly reminds you of SmashTV, you can find it at Barcade in Brooklyn. (which gets its own gallery entry soon enough)
via today's Bill Simmons Dirk Nowitzki blowjob, the William Shatner Rocket Man cover on YouTube. Seriously, watch this. Three-quarters of the way through, the entire universe changes forever.
Now, even better, watch Beck's "Where It's At" video at about 2:35 through, and tell me where you think they got that scene from:
Blog ThePornSpot refers one-handed web surfers (where's that other hand? *hee*) to celebrity look-alike adult stars. The concept: why wait for a nip-slip? Just indulge your celebrity sex fantasy with a low-rent replacement model. Some are all-out porn stars (like Famke Janssen look-alike, Penthouse Pet of the Year and "Subway Tits Girl" Jamie Lynn) while others are merely amateur teen teasers (like Lindsay Lohan clone Heidi Honey):
vs.
One of Lindsay's first high-deas and, frankly, a genius concept.
(also noted: if you, like myself, are a guy that will claim that you've NEVER EVER seen any of these girls before or that you don't have a huge image stash somewhere on your hard drive of a couple of these chicks, then you, like myself, are a big fat liar.)
